The most important issue of the display interface is the communication rate, the communication speed indicates the measurement of the amount of data transfer from its motherboard in the motherboard and LCD communication interface. Therefore, the communication rate will affect the display on the data transmission / reception rate, which in turn affects the refresh rate of the LCD screen, that is, the final effect presented to the customer.

Using an 8-bit data bus, the hardware architecture requires 8 data lines and 3 control lines, requiring a higher number of pins.
Once the control signal is activated, the display interface data can be transmitted through the data lines; the communication rate depends on the start-up speed on the driver IC. Take QVGA 320×240 dot matrix LCD screen as an example, the communication rate will be 320 × 240 ÷ 8 bits (data width) × 60 fps (frame per second) = 576KHz after the IC signal is activated.
Advantages: early architecture, simple control, no need for frequency or synchronization signal; low power consumption, suitable for small size TFT display, such as 1.3″, 1.77″, 2.0″.
